SO BASICALLY Kaoru and Emma were some of the most normal-ass people in this game even if she lived in a hellish world and he was a dumb rich bitch. But it's part of why he liked her a lot. He could appreciate her sarcasm and felt like she was actually pretty easy to talk to. Emma wasn't someone he was afraid of and he didn't mind teasing her and maybe he should have respected her more because she was an adult but he viewed her as someone who wouldn't mind the behavior so he just...went with it.

In spite of that, he did actually respect her and got along with her pretty well. He felt like she was fairly levelheaded and smart and he could appreciate her trying to figure out loopholes in the game and everything. She was helpful in trials and she wasn't exactly the type to brush off ideas even if they seemed stupid.

He also appreciated the fact that she cared about people which says a lot in a game like this. Emma is one of those people who feels very passionately about people she cares for, and it's something he kins with, basically, so he's like "she's a good person" and doesn't think anything of it. He thinks she's a very strong and capable lady and he's hoping she gets to have a good life going forward.
