me, knowing what shirasu is like, and having minato love and trust him 100%,

SHIRASU WAS ALWAYS GOOD TO HIM AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS he brought minato food and taught him how to cook and therefore minato could see no wrong with him. akane liked him? she told minato as such and minato nodded and went "therefore he must be a good person"
but he was always really calm and kind and accommodating, and minato asserts that it doesn't matter if a person acts differently around different people bc that's just how people are, so the shirasu that he sees is just as real as the shady shirasu he keeps to himself. he wishes they could've spent more time together so he could learn more about him, bc what he hears about him from other people contrasts so much with what he sees of shirasu, and that's sort of why he thought kohryu would've been a good fit for shirasu's persona, bc it's very versatile and in minato's mind, shirasu is very fluid like that too

but the one thing that minato liked about shirasu above all else, is that he leaves bones and fish scales in on his fish, like there was one time when kara asked why he doesn't remove them and shirasu said something like "you can do that yourself, can't you?" and that was the moment minato went "yes, i will follow him to the ends of the earth"
