Lili is so strong!! I think Kazuaki was starting to get... a bit close to seeing her cracks? The problem with that is that Kazuaki thinks of himself as so weak and useless that everyone else gets built up in his head as strong and impossibly cool unless they're like... Minato-levels of "are you ok."
He did want to support her, though, in those opportunities where- Lili was still impossibly cool and moving forward but he could tell she was upset. He does sort of understand that he is a small and fluffy thing and him being around is comforting.
He was really sad to die and not get to enjoy their hot springs episode together! which sounds pervy but, like, he's a bird, he sort of gets that you shouldn't see a human's nipples but like ???
Lune
ANOTHER VICTIM OF ME BEING TOO SHY TO YELL FOR PCs/AUDIENCES
For the longest time, Kazuaki had, like, no awareness of Lune, lol. He was too wrapped up in being upset with Sol and him being upset with Sol really just reinforced the idea of not talking to the signs at all. He tried his best in the trials... while not really talking to either of them.
That did change a bit in the graveyard where Lune was officially "cool guardian." I'd say cool grandpa but honestly Kazuaki missed... most of the signs he was old. He's not!! Very attentive! Either way, Lune was the one who was more into joking and talking with the dead so Kazuaki was a little interested.
Especially when he turned out to be an ikemen-type with the courage to take someone by the chin!? He'd probably even kabedon someone!
(I feel like they maybe could have talked more about standards of looks and stuff re: humans and nonhumans since Kazuaki views himself as extremely plain- but, eh!)
