... I would pick a couple of people who I thought would choose the right path. Or the path I feel is the right one. Talk it out with the others, and work out the best possible plan to keep that person safe.

Of course, I'd want to find a way to avoid the Last Man Standing scenario entirely, but... ignoring that possibility would be too risky.
